Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”
(1 Chronicles 16:23-31)
behind the name...
"Japan is loved. They just need to know they are loved.
God loves Japan. Japan needs God."
The word “IXOYE” is an acronym of the first letter of five Greek words: Iesous Xristos Theou Yios Sotare which means: Jesus, Christ, Son of, God, Savior. The word ΙΧΘΥΣ also means fish when spelled in capital letters. We were truly inspired by the scripture:
And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”(Matthew 4:19)
The IXOYE mark was already used long before with "the fish" mark as an evangelism proclamation of the Gospel. We have decided to use the name for our music team; for having the same vision and heart when it comes to worshipping our Jesus.
"To share God's love through true worship."
Living in Japan and experiencing its beauty is one of undeniably wonderful blessings we could think of in our lives. However, Japan is a country who knows less about our God. We believe that through worshipping, and sharing the word of God, Japan will seek, come to know, and bow to it's knees in awe of the beauty of God's love. The time has come for Japan to know True Love. To know Jesus.
